Today Stacey, Gabe (a new researcher from Colorado), and I drove into Old San Juan for the weekly farmers market. It was a bit smaller than I had hoped, but still a great day trip!
This was the parking structure- you give your keys to the guys so they can move cars around
Farmers market! I bought sunflower seed bread.
AND I FOUND HORCHATA

Old San Juan Streets
We went to lunch at a fancy restaurant and I got tostones (fried plantains) for $4.50. Yeesh.
Gabe having fun with the pigeons
We then stopped by Castillo San Cristobal, a historic fort.
A lovely meadow growing on top of the fort
The view of San Juan from the top

So guess we can cross Old San Juan off our list....looks like not much has changed, still an old fort
